Torne Valley Dipnet Culture
Torne Valley Dipnet Culture, or TVDC, is an EU-funded Interreg Aurora project focusing on the protection of the dipnet fishing culture in the Torne Valley, which will be implemented during the period 1.8.2024–28.2.2027. The aim of the project is to protect the traditional dipnet fishing culture of the Torne Valley, which is an essential part of the cultural heritage of the area. The project is coordinated and managed by the City of Tornio and the Torne Valley Museum. The project partners are Haparanda Municipality, ProSiika, Norrbotten Museum and Novia University of Applied Sciences.

Project partners
Projekt Torne Valley Dipnet Culture är ett samarbete mellan Tornio stad (huvudsökande), Haparanda stad, Norrbottens Museum/Region Norrbotten och Yrkeshögskolan Novia. Paraplyorganisationen Pro Siika ry är en officiell partner till projektet och representerar traditionsgemenskapen och föreningar på båda sidor om gränsen. Tornedalens museum ansvarar för projektadministrationen.
