Mobile exhibition
The mobile exhibition “Dipnet Van” brings the dipnet tradition and its safeguarding to people – to markets, schools and events. It can be used to present the dipnet tradition in an experiential and accessible way to different audiences locally, nationally and internationally. In addition, the mobile exhibition provides general information about UNESCO, waterways, migratory fish, and traditional fishing. The mobile exhibition will be launched in August 2026 as part of the EU’s Interreg Aurora-funded Torne Valley Dipnet project.
The exhibition will include text and images on screens, and their programming will be carried out by Lapland University of Applied Sciences’ FrostBit Software Lab.

The dipnet van will be launched at the National Local Heritage Days on August 29, 2026, and it is part of the Oulu2026 cultural programme.
