Dipnet fishing

You can follow the work of the dipnetters for much of the whole summer. Dipnet fishing begins at the beginning of June when the dipnetters who own the fishing rights closely follow the rise of the migrating fish. ie. whitefish and salmon. Salmon is dipnetted at the beginning of the summer.  At the turn of July and August, when there is enough whitefish, the dipnetters start fishing whitefishing in shifts.  At this time of the summer, there are people and things to see at the rapids fields.
